Zazie Beetz was born in 1991 Born in 1991, she was raised in Berlin. Her father was a German Cabinet Maker who immigrated to the United States following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Jennifer Aniston attended the same high-school as Beetz. Beetz attended Skidmore College to study French following her graduation from LaGuardia. When she graduated from the college Beetz began to audition immediately for roles and was eventually offered in the role of Van on the set of Atlanta. Born in Berlin to an German father as well as an African-American mom, Beetz was born within New York speaking both German as well as English at home. Zazie began appearing on community and local stage in her early days. In grade school she started acting, and eventually became a professional actor. Zazie's Disney Channel Breakout Role Zendaya's dance skills definitely earned her acclaim. In 2010, the actor and dancer got her first break-out performance when she was cast as Rocky Blue in the show 'Shake It Up', alongside her co-star Bella Thorne. Zendaya was just 11 while on a family road trip her family was driving through a meat-processing plant. PEOPLE reports that Zendaya said, "I found it horrifying to look at the entire animals that were being crammed inside, awaiting to be killed." It wasn't how I ate my meat! Since that day, she's been on a strict plant-based eating plan.
